Prior to joining DFH Public Affairs, Jasmine Igneski worked in federal and provincial politics for 13 years, most recently serving the Prime Minister of Canada as the Director of Priorities and Planning. In this role she was responsible for advising the Prime Minister on key public policy files, coordinating and managing government-wide parliamentary strategy, and managing the approval and implementation process for setting key government priorities. Jasmine also served as Director of Issues Management and Policy Advisor for Economic Affairs, Environment and Energy Security in the Prime Minister’s Office. Prior to this, she was the Senior Policy Advisor for two Federal Environment Ministers.
Before joining the federal government, Jasmine was Senior Policy Advisor and Issues Manager for several Ontario Cabinet Ministers at Queen’s Park. She has a keen understanding of all aspects of the public policy process, federally and provincially, and has spent a majority of her time in government advising on issues related to the resource sector.
Jasmine has advised government on public policy, communications, issues management and strategic planning for a number of major public policy initiatives. She was responsible for developing and executing many government-wide strategic communications plans with quick and effective responses to contentious issues and events. She also excels at building relationships with stakeholders, and developing mutually beneficial solutions and partnerships.
She is a Founding Board member of the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada.
